Church History
St. Joseph A.M.E. Zion Church is 116 years old. Founded in 1905 in the West Munden section of Chesapeake. The church bears the name of its founders and first trustees, the late Joseph Edney and Joseph Parson. In 2018, the church celebrated 100 years at its present location on Atlantic Avenue.
